Rodney Antal was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of SSR Mining in September 2020. Rodney had served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Alacer Gold since August 2013. Previously, he was Alacer’s Chief Financial Officer. Rodney has more than 25 years of global mining experience in mineral and metal businesses, including precious metals. His experience includes both corporate and operational mine site roles. Rodney began his mining career working for Placer Dome in Papua New Guinea. He then spent 15 years within the Rio Tinto Group where he held various senior management positions, including Global Head of Shared Services and Chief Financial Officer of Rio Tinto Minerals’ global business.
Alison White was appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of SSR Mining in March 2021. Alison is an experienced and versatile finance professional and has a track record of success in financial and operational roles. Prior to joining SSR Mining, Alison held various corporate and regional roles at Newmont Mining including serving as the Regional Chief Financial Officer for North America. Prior to joining Newmont, she was the Vice President of Internal Audit for a global water and natural resources engineering firm. Alison has leadership and financial experience across various industries holding roles at MWH Global (now Stantec), KPMG, ConAgra Foods, Sun Microsystems and Ernst and Young. Alison has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Master’s degree with an emphasis in accounting and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Stewart Beckman was appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of SSR Mining in September 2020. Stewart had served as the Chief Operating Officer of Alacer Gold since June 2016. He has more than 30 years of experience in the mining and mineral processing industry. Before joining Alacer, Stewart spent 19 years with Rio Tinto working across various product groups in senior leadership, minerals processing, mining operations and project development roles. His most recent roles were Global Lead for Group Working Capital Reduction, Senior Vice President Operations and Technical Development for Turquoise Hill Resources, and Director Oyu Tolgoi Expansion. Before joining Rio Tinto, Stewart spent seven years in a variety of operational and project development roles at Placer Dome.
F. Edward Farid was appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Development Officer of SSR Mining in September 2020. Edward is responsible for the company’s strategy, M&A activities, commercial negotiations and investor relations functions. Edward previously served as the Senior Vice President, Business Development and Investor Relations for Alacer Gold since May 2017. He has more than 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, business strategy and capital markets. Before joining Alacer Gold, Edward was a senior officer in the Metals and Mining group at Credit Suisse. In his capacity as an investment banker, he advised leaders in the gold mining sector on a variety of transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, streaming transactions, fairness opinions, defense advisory, and debt and equity financings. Edwards holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from McGill University in Canada.
Michael Sparks was appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Administrative Officer of SSR Mining in September 2020. Previously, Michael had worked at Alacer Gold Corp. since 2012, where he most recently served as the Chief Legal Officer and Secretary. In that role, he was responsible for the company’s global legal and human resource functions. Michael has more than ten years of international legal and management experience, primarily in the natural resources industry. Before joining Alacer Gold, Michael worked at King & Spalding LLP in Houston, Texas and subsequently at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP in Denver, Colorado. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Utah State University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.

Liezl van Wyk was appointed the Vice President, Resource Development of SSR Mining in September 2020. Liezl first joined SSR Mining as Director, Operations Excellence in 2017. Her global experience includes business analysis, energy, operations excellence, mine technical services and projects. Liezl is Namibian by nationality and worked for Rio Tinto in Australia, the USA, South Africa, Namibia and Canada. She also worked in the power industry in Southern Africa for nine years. Liezl holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering, and a master’s degree in high-voltage engineering, both from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. She obtained her MBA in General Management at the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Tim Bekhuys was appointed the Vice President, Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability of SSR Mining in March 2021. Tim first joined SSR Mining as Vice President, Environment & Community Relations in August 2018. Tim has more than 30 years of experience working in corporate social responsibility and the environmental, social and governance-related aspects of mining. His expertise includes community, environmental and aboriginal affairs. He has worked around the globe. Under Tim’s leadership, SSR produced its first ESG and Sustainability report in 2019. Before joining SSR, Tim was with New Gold Inc. from 2011 to 2018, as the Director of Environment and a Project Director. Tim also worked at AMEC (now Wood) and EBA Engineering (now Tetratech) leading a group of sustainability professionals. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and completed the Global Competent Boards Program (GCB.D) in 2021. Tim is a former Director of the Mining Association of Canada and the Mining Association of BC.
Susan Gehoski was appointed Vice President, Human Resources of SSR Mining in October 2020. In this role, Susan is responsible for leading, developing, and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance. Susan has more than 20 years of human resource experience. Before joining SSR Mining, Susan was the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Healthcare for Sodexo. She has also held leadership roles in Human Resources at CH2M, Arcadis, GE, Avery Dennison and Xcel Energy. Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Communications from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota.
John Ebbett was appointed Vice President, Project Development of SSR Mining in September 2020. John has more than 15 years of experience in the mining industry and has managed a diverse range of projects from feasibility through to execution. John’s experience includes infrastructure and process plant upgrades and challenging projects such as underground development, pressure oxidation processing, and large tailings facilities. He has worked in Turkey, Canada, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Australia, Peru, Chile and the USA. John’s recent roles include Vice President Global Project Delivery at Ausenco and Project Director at Alacer Gold. Before joining Alacer Gold, John held various project development roles with Newcrest Mining, Ausenco and John Holland. John holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
Cengiz Demirci was appointed the Vice President, Exploration of SSR Mining in September 2020. Cengiz had previously been the Vice President, Exploration for Alacer Gold. He has more than 30 years of experience in exploration and mining, including 20 years with Rio Tinto. Cengiz specializes in project development, exploration, and building and leading discovery-oriented multidisciplinary teams. He has held several senior positions in Asia, North America, East Africa, Indonesia, Australia, and Eastern Europe. Cengiz’s focus is on identifying and achieving growth initiatives. He has a documented track record of gold, copper and industrial mineral discoveries, excellent safety performance, resource delineation and evaluation, project generation and feasibility studies. He holds a Master’s degree in Geology/Earth Science and a PhD in Geology from the Middle East Technical University in Turkey.
Greg Gibson is the General Manager of SSR Mining’s Marigold Mine in Nevada, USA. Greg joined Marigold in November 2016 as Operations Manager and was promoted to his current role in June 2018. Previously, Greg had held successively more senior and diverse roles with AngloGold Ashanti, Including Mine Engineer, Mine Superintendent, Manager Business Improvement, Manager of System and Reporting, and Mine Manager. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Mine Engineering, and a Masters of Science in Mining and Earth Systems, both from the Colorado School of Mines. He also holds an MBA from the University of Colorado and is a Professional Engineer.
Iain Guille joined SSR Mining as General Manager, Seabee Gold Operations in Canada in August 2020. With more than 25 years of mining industry experience, Iain has held a variety of roles leading operations, capital projects and support functions. Most recently, Iain held the role of Vice President, Operations at the largest underground salt mine in the world in Goderich, Ontario. In that role, Iain was responsible for the successful transformation to continuous underground mining methods. Iain has extensive experience in mining, mineral processing and refining operations in platinum group metals, gold, silver, base metals, potash and soda ash. Working around the world, Iain has experienced the cultures of Southern Africa, Europe, the Middle East and several provinces of Canada. He holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Strathclyde University in Scotland. Iain serves as a Board member and holds various directorships.
Robert Gill joined SSR Mining as General Manager, Puna Operations in Argentina in August 2018. Before joining SSR, Robert was Vice President of Operations at Jaguar Mining based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil where he led change management and created a cost-control culture. Robert has more than 35 years of experience in engineering and resources. He has lived and worked in mining operations in Canada, the USA, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil and Argentina. His experience includes both base metal and precious metal operations in open pit and underground mining. As a consultant, Robert has managed mining studies for major mining companies around the world. Robert holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and completed an Executive Business Program at Queen’s University in Canada.
Geoff became country manager of Anagold in 2019, having worked in the mining industry as an employee and a consultant for more than 30 years. His career has covered technical specialist, operational line management, executive management of operations, and overall leadership of various mining businesses.
Prior to joining Anagold, Geoff has held CEO and Board level roles in several mining companies around the world including being a former Chief Operating Office of Australia’s largest gold miner, Newcrest Mining Limited. In addition to his production accountabilities, he also held executive accountability for technical services, health, safety, risk, business excellence, environment and community across all of Newcrest’s business.
Geoff has extensive experience living and operating in varied cultural and socio-political environments having lived in more than 8 different countries from the remote region of Papua New Guinea’s highlands to London. Geoff complements his technical skillset by providing a broad experience in external affairs and stakeholder engagement across the full spectrum of mining project stakeholders from landowners, technical specialists and NGOs, through to Governments and Heads of State.
Geoff has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemistry) from Deakin University and a Master of Science (Chemistry) from Monash University, and has also undertaken post graduate studies (Geology) at the University of California at Berkeley.
