Community Investment

We are committed to creating lasting value in the communities where we operate. Each year, we aim to invest in local development by funding infrastructure, supporting social programs, and sourcing goods and services from local suppliers. Our Approach

We focus our community investment efforts through two key pillars:

  1. Community Development Projects (CDPs): Strategic, community-led initiatives designed to promote diversified economic development. These projects aim to deliver long-term benefits tailored to local needs and priorities.
  2. Community Development Committees (CDCs): A formal process that evaluates and supports community petitions based on transparent criteria and available budgets. This process helps formalize donations and streamline requests into a collective, prioritized development plan — typically supporting small infrastructure projects or local services.

Our Impact

Through these two pillars, we strive to enhance local economies, improve quality of life, and build lasting partnerships with communities. These efforts are designed to foster meaningful participation and support sustainable development.

Community Feedback

At SSR Mining, we are committed to being a responsible corporate citizen by building constructive, lasting relationships with our host communities and stakeholders. To support this commitment, we welcome feedback from all individuals, groups, and organizations interested in sharing their thoughts, concerns, or questions related to our operations and initiatives. Your feedback helps us improve and strengthen our relationships with the communities we serve.

Our Approach

There are two main ways to provide feedback:

  1. General Feedback: For general feedback, questions or concerns, please reach out to our Community Relations team at sustainability@ssrmining.com.
  2. Grievance Mechanism: For complaints or grievances, SSR Mining has established a formal Grievance Mechanism to ensure issues are addressed in a timely, transparent, and respectful manner. By maintaining an open dialogue with the communities we impact, we can ensure that concerns are addressed with the care they deserve. This framework helps us to improve our operations in a manner that benefits everyone. An online form to formally submit a grievance through the SSR Mining website is in progress. Please refer to site specific contact information above in the interim.

Our Grievance Process

All complaints submitted will be received, documented, reviewed, and resolved in a timely manner.

  1. Once a grievance is submitted via the feedback form, it is logged and reviewed by SSR Mining’s Grievance Team.
  2. SSR Mining will acknowledge receipt of the grievance, outlining the next steps in the resolution process.
  3. A thorough review is conducted by the Grievance Team. If further action is required, SSR Mining will develop a resolution plan that addresses the issue, along with a clear timeline for implementation.
  4. Once resolved, the community member may receive a report detailing the outcome and the steps taken to address the grievance.
